Job Interview with Minecraft Game Server Company!

I am so excited to say I actually have a job interview for something I can do from the comfort of my home!  I’m thrilled about that, but I’m a bit nervous about the interview.  You see it’s been some serious years since I have had any job interview at all!  I am scatter brained sometimes, but I can do it!  I use the internet as an unlimited resource for education as well as answers to things I cannot figure out.   I really hope I get the shot to do this job even if its on a trial basis, which I offered up front.

I couldn’t send them a real resume, mainly because I don’t have one.  I mean I cannot really list education because I did most of my educating myself.   I went to Detroit Public Schools back in the 80’s and I can say I learned people were racist, hypocrites, liars and bullies! Not just kids this included teachers calling me out of my name using racist words.  I guess they didn’t like me, but I do not hate on anyone and I’m open and accepting of everyone.  If you do me wrong I erase you from my life depending on the severity of the wrongdoings.

So I sent them a letter as a resume telling them my knowledge which does include a bit of information.  I mean I have been using this old machine for years to earn and learn.  No kidding!  In 1996 when I got my first computer with America Online as the internet service using dial up.  Man was that ever a joke! I only had that pc for about 6 months, it was a rent to own from rent a center (I never recommend using them or others you pay too much).  Then in 1999 I got a computer that we again got from a rental place and this one was mine! It never went back!

One of the first things I found to make money online as to surf the net and get paid.  I did this with a company called AllAdvantage.com .  I made around $70 from them.  So I cannot say it was very successful.  I also tried using ads and other ways to earn, but no success back then.   I realised I need to have a website and so I got going on trying to figure out how to design a site.  What the heck was I thinking?  I do not know because I figured it out! LOL Yep!  I wont lie I started off by looking at other peoples code.  I learned how to center, change font styles, colors and more.   I loved making sites and selling them!  It was something I was good at too.  That’s what I was doing around 2002, cause it took me some time to learn.

In 2002 I found the Paid to Read world which now is a big mess, mainly because of so many scammers out there.  I would create, design and sell the sites, I’d get around $300 – 500 apiece for them.  It was beneficial and came at the perfect time, because the end of 2002 I found out I was pregnant.  So I started preparing with this money I was earning for our baby coming.  Once I had my son I slowed down because I had a preemie and he needed his mama.

I forgot to mention in 2002 I also started to find reseller hosting and sell it too.  Today I have my own small hosting business as well,  I sell hosting and web design.   It’s not something that makes me a fortune or any where near!  I’m lucky to make a few hundred per year with it.  Mainly because people are too cheap to buy something good at a real cost!  I look at this way you get what you pay for! If you pay $25 per year and your sites hosting, database, bandwidth goes down several times during that year.  Well toss the benefits of the price you’re paying and the service you’re getting.  I charge around $10 a month for hosting and a lot of people think that’s too much.  Well I pay a small fortune for what I am offering, mainly because I want service that works and is great for everyone who orders through me!

I have come a long way since then though, I have learned a whole lot since 2002!  I can do some PHP, some CSS, HTML, Graphic Designs with Jasc PSP & Animation shop, CuteFTP & HTML Editor and many more programs.   I hope my self taught knowledge actually pays off! I’d be so happy to work from home doing a job, instead of always hoping this comes through or that comes through.  I have bills to pay for all my online stuff as well as from our home.

So I’m super stoked and excited as well as nervous about the interview.  I know it’s a either love me or hate chance! I hope it’s they like me enough to try me!
